Keith Edward Eastman, a cherished husband, father, and community member, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 93 at his home in Eden Prairie, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on July 23, 1931, in Bird Island, Minnesota, to Victor and Helen Eastman, Keith lived his life to the fullest, like there’s no tomorrow.
Keith Edward Eastman is survived by his loving wife Carol and three children: two sons, Eric and Scott, and daughter Kristin Cisewski.
He met his future wife Carol after graduating from Pharmacy school in 1954. Eventually, their relationship blossomed into something meaningful, and the couple remained married for 70 years until Keith took his last breath.
In 1956, while serving in the U.S. Air Force, Keith and Carol first experienced parenthood with the arrival of their son, Keith, in Japan.
After returning from his service to his home, the couple extended their family to six over the years with their three children, Eric, Scott, and Kristin.
He was a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren: granddaughters Brenna Cisewski and Taylor (Greg) Ytterbo; grandsons Steven (Ashley) and Dylan (Nikki) Eastman.
Likewise, Eastman also leaves behind his nine great-grandchildren.
Keith Edward Eastman was preceded in death by son Keith, brother Vic, and daughter-in-law Jackie.
A standout student and athlete at Bird Island High School, Keith excelled in academics and sports.
He continued his education at the University of Minnesota, where he played baseball for the Gophers and earned a Pharmacy degree in 1954.
After returning to Minnesota, Keith purchased a drugstore in Shakopee and operated Eastman Drug for 25 years.
A memorial service to celebrate Keith’s life is scheduled for May 1, 2025, at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, with a visitation at 10 AM, followed by the service at 11 AM and a fellowship gathering.
In the meantime, we send our deepest sympathy to Keith’s wife, children, friends, and family.
Rest Easy, Keith Edward Eastman!
