Bobby Leon Johnson of Springdale, Arkansas, took his last breath on April 12, 2025, at 87, leaving behind his beloved family.
Bobby Leon Johnson is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Anita Land Johnson, and daughters Karen and Lecia.
He was a loving grandfather to his grandsons Blake, Tyler, Luke, Kobe, Brode, and Zachary; granddaughter Jori; and great-grandsons Austin, Owen, William, Henry, Walker, and Wells.
Similarly, Bobby Leo Johnson leaves behind nephews Raymond and Mitchell, niece Kay, cousins Larry and Anna, and more.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne Lee, sister Lizabeth “Lib,” and son Kyle Wayne.
Born on January 5, 1938, in Wheeler County, Texas, to Inez “Na-Na” Scott and Walter Lee Johnson, Bobby lived like there was no tomorrow.
Bobby was a natural athlete; in his early years, he excelled in football, dabbled in basketball, and played baseball.

His true calling, however, was coaching, where his competitive spirit and unique style left a lasting impact on countless students.
Later in life, he transitioned to refereeing and umpiring. An avid golfer, Bobby celebrated several holes-in-one.
Even as his health started to decline, he was still into sports, actively listening to games on the sports network.
Apart from his work, Bobby was a family man who loved spending quality time with his family.
Reportedly, a visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home, 3236 W Huntsville Ave., Springdale, Arkansas, followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m.
