Bennett Andersen, a former standout athlete at Tampa Jesuit High, has progressed from student manager to walk-on in his final two years at the University of Florida.
While much attention is given to his on-field performance, the role of his parents, Carter and Dana Andersen, in shaping his career and character cannot be overlooked.
He has future aspirations and wants to become a basketball coach, drawing inspiration from a legacy of connections at the University of Florida.
He hopes to follow in the footsteps of those who have transformed humble beginnings into remarkable careers in Division I coaching. His determination and passion for the sport reflect his ambition to carry forward this tradition and impact the basketball world.
Bennett was a student manager at Florida for three years under Mike White and continued with the program after Todd Golden’s hiring in March 2022.
“I didn’t realize going into a player I would learn so much different stuff and see it a different way, but I feel like I have. Just getting to be in the locker room in practice and hearing guys thoughts on how practice went, and different things going on I think has taught me a ton.
