WNBA standout, Lisa Leslie has managed to find the perfect balance between being a devoted wife and mother and a career-driven woman, due to the support she has received from her husband, Michael Lockwood.
Former professional basketball player, Lisa Deshaun Leslie was born on July 7, 1972, in Compton, California.
After becoming the head coach for the Triplets in 2019, Leslie led the team to the BIG3 Championship the same year.
Leslie made history in 2002, by becoming the first player to dunk during a WNBA game.

Their love story is quite wholesome. They met in a rather peculiar way, like a movie script.
One day while returning from Alabama after meeting her parents, Lisa met her future husband, Michael’s friend at the airport.
After seeing a legendary WNBA player boarding at the same airport, Michael’s friend couldn’t resist and eventually initiated a small talk with Lisa.
Despite being a stranger to Lisa, Michael’s friend started talking about how he knew a guy who would be a great match for Lisa.
“He told me that he and his wife were huge fans. Then he told me he had a great guy for me to meet and thought we’d hit it off and even said, ‘You’re tall; he’s tall,’
and I’m thinking, I’m not trying to meet anyone. I’m single; I’m good.”

However, she ignored three consecutive calls from Michael but finally returned his call after hearing his final message:
“I’ve called you three times. C’mon, you can at least call a brother back!”
From that day, they talked for 8 hours until they met in person.
The serendipitous meeting with Michael’s friend and returning his call on the fourth attempt marked the beginning of their beautiful relationship.
According to Lisa, the couple feels connected on a deeper, spiritual and intellectual level.
Their relationship blossomed eventually leading to a destination wedding in Maui with 85 of their closest family and friends.
After their beautiful and intimate wedding, the couple had an adventure-filled honeymoon. They spent their honeymoon biking, hiking, visiting waterfalls and volcanos.
